Dear Future 9th Grade Students and Families,

Welcome to the Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy family!

As we prepare for the start of the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to invite all incoming 9th-grade students and their parents/guardians to participate in our Freshman Academy, an engaging and informative experience designed to help students successfully transition into high school.

Entering high school is a major milestone, and we want every student to begin their journey feeling confident, connected, and prepared for success. Freshman Academy is designed to introduce students to the expectations, opportunities, and support systems available at Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy while helping them build meaningful relationships with peers, teachers, and staff.

During Freshman Academy, Students Will:

  • Learn about academic expectations and graduation pathways
  • Meet teachers, counselors, and school leaders
  • Connect with fellow freshmen and begin building new friendships
  • Explore extracurricular opportunities and student organizations
  • Gain important information about school procedures and expectations
  • Develop strategies for a successful transition into high school
