🌲 Learning Beyond the Classroom: Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy Visits Lincoln Hills

Tier I Connection to Real Life Learning –
Students from Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy recently traveled to Lincoln Hills, an important site in Colorado’s Black history, for an enriching day of learning, exploration, and connection.
The experience provided students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Colorado’s historic Black communities while connecting their learning to their ongoing school projects and work toward earning the Seal of Climate Literacy.
Despite the late-September rain, our scholars embraced the experience! Students participated in archery and hands-on outdoor activities while building connections with one another and engaging alongside the entire STEAM staff.
Experiences like this remind us that learning extends far beyond the classroom. At Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy, we are committed to helping our scholars think like CEOs, create like visionaries, perform like leaders, and act like global citizens.
